The Process:

On-site consultation

The first step in understanding your wants and needs for your outdoor space. Meeting on site to chat through your ideas, where we can workshop what is possible taking into consideration your gardens orientation, microclimates and budget.

During this consultation process we can answer questions related to your garden, the design process and how involved you want to be.

On-site consultations will take around 1.5 hours and the price is $240 inc. GST for Metro Melbourne, travel fees apply for outside Metro areas.

Design Style

Our designs always have a plant first focus. We are always happy to accommodate your favourite planting style whether it be native, perennial, coastal, productive gardens or a combination of any style.

Concept Stage

This is where you will be presented with a PDF containing concepts for best use the available space in your garden, suitable plants and materials.

After the initial concept, any feedback is encouraged to ensure you are happy with the direction of the design, planting and make tweaks accordingly to suit your personal preferences.

Documentation

Once the concept is finalised we can then get on to creating in-depth designs, planting schedules and if needed a step-by-step guide to the process of bringing your garden to life.

The design stage can be as detailed as you want it to be. Alternatively, if you are happy with our initial vision and love the look of some of our past projects, we can save money on the design that can be spent on the garden itself.

Implementation

After the design phase we can finally get our hands dirty. We’re always happy to get our hands in the dirt but we can recommend local landscape construction teams if the job requires. If you prefer to DIY we can leave you with the design plan and some helpful tips to get the garden underway yourselves.

Plant Sourcing

Nurseries are fun places to visit, there’s no doubt about it, but can be overwhelming if you have a long list and you’re not exactly sure where the plants are located. We’re experts at plant shopping, we know where to go, what the plants look like, how to pick the best quality ones from the bunch – so let us take the stress out of this process for you.

We always love to be involved in the process of making the garden a reality so when it comes to getting the plants in the ground we’ll always come to site and place them in their correct position – from this point we can do the planting or leave you to get your hands dirty and your garden growing!
